A new name, a new beginning...

Following the General Election 2015, our RC now belongs to Limbang division under Marsiling - Yew Tee GRC. We have been renamed to Stagmont Park RC.

Having to rename our RC after every boundary change has made all of us weary, and takes time for us to get used to, by which time the next GE is here. Thus, we have decided on this permanent name, featuring the nexus of our neighbourhood, that will stay regardless of which division we belong to future.

We will cease to update this blog. Do check out our Stagmont Park RC Facebook page for updates.

Balloon Interest Group

Would you like to join our RC Balloon Twisting Interest Group ?

It is never too late for these 25 people, who are present on that day to learn the basics of balloon twisting. Many have shared that this is already "old fashioned", but in the spirit of Lifelong Learning, kudos to all who were present as they only need to pay $18 for a personal set of materials to learn.

Hope it would bring them hours of bonding with family and friends.

Illegal Car Parking

Just wondering how did the car ended up behind Block 785 ?  Thankfully no one was injured and no major property was destroyed.  It is surely a very unique day for all of us ....

Block 762 - Debonded Bricks

At Block 762, we can see some minor works done on the external wall.  This is due to debonded crack bricks on the level 9. The area is now barricaded so please do not breach it for your own safety.

HDB has inspected and confirmed that this was not structural defect thus the integrity of the building is intact.

Patchwork will be carried out and following that, an inspection will be carried out from block 762 to 771 to spot for any similar problems and will be rectified immediately.

Block 789 Wall Mural

Before Painting

After Painting
On 9 March 2014, our RC Youths, together with Chua Chu Kang CC YEC, came together and painted this wall, as a way to add colour, life and vibrancy to the estate.  We are planning to paint more murals and hope you are able to have your family joining us the next time round ....

Lighted Link Buildings

Brighter Walkways
All of a sudden, the walkways become so bright but who is complaining ?

It has indeed made the place safer with bright lights as well as helping us see better for any "dog bombs on the ground ... we still see few inconsiderate neighbors who do not clear their dog waste after walking them.

For your info, it is an offence under "Littering" as advised by NEA.

Irresponsible Contractors

At Block 785, we are thankful to receive a HOTLINE call from resident at about 8.30pm, stating that the void deck has debris that makes it a fire hazard.  Upon closer look after responding to the call, we saw a big huge pile of debris that is left behind by a contractor, most likely to be doing major renovations in the home.

As part of Town Council practice, the Town Council will look for the contractor during the next working day and advise them to remove it correctly.  Resident was upset as it cannot be removed immediately.  We explained that it is not proper to activate workers to clear as it would mean denying time to rest.  There is also no place to store such debris.

We would like all home owners to advise their contractors as we do not want to have you implicated should accident or hazards occur.

Tales of 2 People - Headache lah

On 17 Nov, at Block 769, somewhere around 10.30pm, we have a police case where it was between a chicken and a duck.  Best of all, both have different versions of what actually happened.

It ended up one party wanna sue the other, but as the matters are under investigation, we would have to advice all parties to have a stand-off.  Who is right and who is wrong ? No one knows ....

What is our position ? One thing for sure, we will not take sides as none of us saw what happened !

There was a witness that tried to intervene mid-way of whatever transpired.  We will go house to house to look for this person, whom with vague information, it was a lady. In the end, this matter is out of our hands already

We are hoping for reconciliation between the chicken and duck

Vandals at work or Childish prank

At Block 766, someone is frequently putting tissues, rolled up like in the picture, in the ash tray section.  The bin has been replaced once, as it caught fire previously and umpteen times lots of smoke was churned out and residents cum passer by have to put out the fire and smoke.

We hope to catch this inconsiderate or childish person.  Let us keep the place we reside a safer place for everyone.

Oil Spill - Town Council Response

On 15 Oct @ 7.20pm, a public holiday, a resident called RC hotline to feedback that someone had spilled oil at Block 786 lift lobby and it is a hazard to residents walking through this busy corridor.  Immediately, a RC member went to assess the situation and called Town Council supervisor for assistance - he was out of the area but with his responsibility, he called cleaners from other areas to come assist.

After 20 minutes, they came and got the job done.  Kudos to the workers for their speedy response, despite being a public holiday and I would consider that they have gone the extra mile - GEMS
